Our half term in Leicestershire is always a week earlier than the rest of the county so we took advantage of a super little cottage in Devon for a weeks holiday before a busy Christmas period (hopefully!)
We had beautiful weather all week apart from on day which for the UK in October is pretty amazing.
we spend the days just exploring the area including some lovely beaches, we always have to be very careful with Charlie as he tends to be a bit of a ‘runner’ when he is off the lead so going to a pebble beach is always a bonus as he can’t run as fast as he usually can! he loves a paddle in the sea where as Boo would rather just sit and watch him paddle whilst barking at him to come back!
Time just sitting outside the cottage with a cuppa and watching my son play on the rope swing whilst the dogs lay in the sunshine was certainly a lovely relaxing way to end may of the days we spent away.
